If you hear Oisin Murphy is opening up a Costa or Starbucks and you fancy a mug of something then don't bother going in.

"There's no tea or coffee," he says brightly as we walk into his Lambourn home. A Killarney man who doesn't keep tea in the house. It is like a pub that does not serve beer.

Murphy has enjoyed a landmark October having won Woodbine's Grade 1 EP Taylor Stakes on Blond Me for his in-form boss Andrew Balding, whose horses could only get hotter if you casseroled them.
