'His target for some time' - bumper winner among Cheltenham team on Sunday

I'm aiming to make a flying start to 2023 when one of my best horses heads to Cheltenham for the Relkeel Hurdle on New Year's day.

I've won this with Crystal D'Ainay, Pouvoir and Karabak since the turn of the century and I hope that can cope with the step up to a Grade 2 from handicap company, although he has quite a few pounds to find with several of the runners.

We'd been aiming him at bidding to repeat last year's win in the Betfair Exchange Trophy Hurdle at Ascot and when that was abandoned we decided to head here rather than have another crack at the Christmas Hurdle.
