Face of ITV Racing Ed Chamberlin selects his Tote Ten To Follow
It’s set to be a cracking season and it was hard to whittle down my list to ten but I’ve managed it and I can’t wait to see them in action over the winter.
Everything went wrong forShishkinat Cheltenham yet he still managed to win. His schooling reports are excellent and he could be the real deal as a novice chaser but he will need to respond to the standard set by Envoi Allen. Mick Fitzgerald gave his chasing debut ten out of ten and Ruby Walsh purred about him. He's a serious athlete.

What a start to the season for Paul Nicholls and the way he talks about Topofthegamemeans he has a big chance in the Ladbrokes Trophy. He obviously retains his ability and missing a year might have done him a favour.
The way people spoke about Appreciate It for the Champion Bumper suggested it was a question of how far he would win. He travelled like the best horse and could still prove to be that in the long term.
You have to include Altior but I'll also stick in Allaho. I've loved him since the 2019 Albert Bartlett when he pulled like a train but still finished third. Debate rages about who was the best horse to come out of an epic RSA Chase and I think Allaho has plenty in the locker.
I'd love Lostintranslationto win the Cheltenham Gold Cup, especially after the sad loss Colin Tizzard’s family has endured. It would be a fairytale.
It's too early to write off Paisley Park after one below-par performance. His connections are great and I want to see them back on the big stage. Epatantecan't be ignored as the Champion Hurdle cupboard looks bare and the race is at her mercy. She's lethal.
Finally, I cannot leave out my old friend Tiger Roll.
