'We've got a view for big things in the autumn' - trainers' horses to follow

We asked a number of Britain and Ireland's top trainers to tell us the horses they are most looking forward to running this autumn . . .

Tom Dascombe

Three-year-old gelding Markaz (sire) - Mattinata (dam)
Owner: Caroline Ingram
Form figures: 471111
Racing Post Rating 90 Official rating 85
He's won his last four races and hasn't stopped improving. We've got plans for him in the works but he has to have quick ground so that's going to interrupt things a bit at this point in the year. We want to run him again as soon as we can when we find the right conditions.

I felt he didn't shape very well in his first two runs but he's promising and I like him a lot. He's a nice horse and goes well at home. He hasn't been out since June but I'll be very surprised if he doesn't win his maiden when he runs next.
