Fancy Cheltenham Gold Cup day hospitality for £10? Enter Jockey Club fundraiser
The Jockey Club is offering horseracing fans who donate £10 to the British Red Cross's Ukraine Appeal the chance to win hospitality tickets to next Friday's sold-out Cheltenham Gold Cup day.
The initiative, which follows on from the decision to rename this year's running of the National Hunt Chase to the Ukraine Appeal National Hunt Challenge Cup Amateur Jockeys' Novices' Chase, will guarantee 24 lucky racing fans a pair of tickets to Cheltenham's Club enclosure for Gold Cup day.
It is another step taken by the Jockey Club in response to the humanitarian crisis arising from the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
The winners of this unique 'raffle', which can be entered by pledging £10 online on The Jockey Club website, will be able to enjoy the Boodles Cheltenham Gold Cup from the exclusive Hatton's Grace corporate suite along with complimentary food and drink.
Cheltenham managing director Ian Renton said: "When we considered how to maximise our fundraising for the Red Cross Ukraine Appeal during the festival we wanted to do something which captures everyone's imagination and reward those who donate with the chance to experience something truly unique.
"We're delighted to be able to offer hospitality as part of an initiative we hope will raise a significant amount of money."
There are no limits on how many times each person can donate £10, with the 'raffle' closing at 3pm on Monday, March 14 with the winners notified by 6pm on the same day.
Renton added: "The opportunity to win a pair of tickets to watch the most prestigious race in the jump racing calendar from such a fantastic vantage point for just £10 while also supporting such a worthwhile cause is one we hope will encourage a huge number of people to take part. It's the ultimate Cheltenham Gold Cup day experience."
