Racecourses must recognise that many people within British racing are "exasperated" and will leave the sport unless the issue of prize-money is addressed.

That was the message from Horsemen's Group (HG) chairman Charlie Parker, who said that while he recognised racecourses faced financial hardship they were not alone in that respect.

"We're all in the same boat when it comes to Covid and the idea that trainers and jockeys, stable staff, valets and owners are somehow immune to the financial storm and it is purely at the racecourses' door is just fanciful," Parker said.
