Easysland's National bid in the balance as Cottin surprised by 'harsh' weight
A challenge for the Randox Grand National is under review for last season's impressive Glenfarclas Chase winner Easysland, with trainer David Cottin left scratching his head at the seven-year-old being allotted joint top weight with Bristol De Mai and Santini.
Easysland remains on course for the defence of his Cross Country Chase crown at Cheltenham next month, but Cottin described the allocation of 11st 10lb by the BHA's senior handicapper Martin Greenwood as "unjust".
Easysland has only run once since trouncing dual National hero Tiger Roll at the festival last March, finishing fourth to Kingswell Theatre over the Cheltenham cross-country course in November.
