Nominations for the 2022 Irish Thoroughbred Industry Employee Awards, sponsored by Godolphin, will close at 5pm on Monday, August 15.

Formerly known as the Irish Godolphin Stud And Stable Staff Awards, the honours have been reshaped and rebranded and the categories simplified and replaced with eight Irish Thoroughbred Industry Employee Awards for which all nominees are eligible.

Bernard Caldwell, Irish Stable Staff Association chief executive, said: “With only a week to go to the nominations deadline, I would encourage everyone in the industry, including stud and stable staff, trainers, breeders, owners, and managers to nominate their colleagues to acknowledge and reward the wonderful work of our stud and stable staff.

“Online nomination is easy and only takes a few minutes but must be completed by the deadline of 5pm next Monday.”

The Irish Racing Excellence Award winner, won last year by Johnny Murtagh’s head girl Valerie Keatley, will be selected from the eight Irish Thoroughbred Industry Employee Award winners. An awards ceremony will take place at the Keadeen Hotel in Newbridge on October 25.

There will be €62,000 in prize-money on offer across the eight categories, as well as bronzes crafted byAni Mollereau for each winner.

This year marks the seventh anniversary of sponsorship of the awards by Godolphin, who also sponsor the equivalent awards in Britain, America, Australia and France.

Sandra Hughes, Godolphin’s Irish Thoroughbred Industry Employee Awards Ambassador, will be available to assist all trainers, breeders, managers, owners and colleagues who wish to nominate their staff.

All nominations can be made online at .
