Confirmed runners and riders for day two of Newmarket's July festival
Unbeaten three-year-old Inspiral will face just four rivals in Friday's Group 1 Falmouth Stakes (3.35), the feature race on day two of Newmarket's July festival.
The John and Thady Gosden-trained filly will once again be ridden by Frankie Dettori after the brief sabbatical between the two parties ended.
Inspiral, who made her long-awaited reappearance when outclassing a field of 12 in the Coronation Stakes at Royal Ascot, will go in search of a third successive Group 1 victory at the same place she began her career.
Dettori has partnered Cheveley Park's Inspiral to four of her five victories since her first start at the July festival last year.
The Ralph Beckett-trained Prosperous Voyage will renew her rivalry with Inspiral and is possibly the biggest threat to the unbeaten run.
However, the 1,000 Guineas runner-up has met the daughter of Frankel on three occasions and has yet to come out on top, most recently when finishing tenth in the Coronation Stakes.
Andrew Balding will be represented by last year's Duchess of Cambridge Stakes winner Sandrine, while the Ed Walker-trained Primo Bacio, who finished fifth in last year's Falmouth behind Snow Lantern, will also take her chance.
Sibila Spain, who landed the Group 2 Prix du Muguet for trainer Christopher Head back in May, will fly the flag for France.
This year's Group 2 Duchess of Cambridge Stakes (2.25) has attracted a field of six, headlined by recent course winner Lezoo.
The filly has won both of her career starts and will be ridden by Dettori, who steered her to an emotional victory in a Listed race at the end of last month.
The Godolphin-owned Mawj will bid to go one better than her Albany Stakes second and will pose a stiff challenge to Lezoo.
David Loughnane has a strong hand in the race with Queen Olly and Carmella, while impressive Queen Mary second Maylandsea will run in the Middleham Park Racing colours for Michael Bell.
Tagline, who was third to Lezoo at Newmarket, completes the field of six.
As well as partnering Inspiral and Lezoo, Dettori will team up with Charlie and Mark Johnston to ride Hope You Can Run in the 7f maiden (1.15), before partnering the Hugo Palmer-trained Zoffee in the bet365 Trophy (3.00).
