'We want as many competitive runners as possible at Cheltenham' - big hopes for Gredley team spearheaded by Burdett Road

The Gredley family enjoyed a spectacular November meeting at Cheltenham when scooping big races with East India Dock and Burdett Road, but the best could be yet to come.

That was the sentiment expressed by Tim Gredley, who helps to manage the family's horses alongside father Bill, and the pair are hoping their talented ex-Flat performers with James Owen can all make it to the Cheltenham Festival in March.

"As long as they all end up at Cheltenham I don't care where they run beforehand," Gredley said. "That's the brief James has got. Cheltenham and Royal Ascot are the two main meetings in racing and we want to have as many competitive runners as possible, so that’s what we're working back from.
