'We have got our hands tied' - Chelmsford City owner exasperated at lack of fixtures

Saturday marks ten years since Chelmsford City reopened its doors but despite the successes of the subsequent decade its founder John Holmes remains frustrated.
Resurrected from the former Great Leighs, Chelmsford has proved a popular venue with trainers and 17 Group 1 winners including Billesdon Brook, Poet's Word and Persuasive have run at the track.
Chelmsford was not due to race this weekend but has stepped in to provide action, with the weather threatening the scheduled jumps meetings.
