'The race will see a few bubbles burst' - Ben Pauling hoping unbeaten novice can star in red-hot Challow Hurdle

Ben Pauling is hoping his affinity with the Coral Challow Novices’ Hurdle will continue this month after signalling his intention to run the unbeaten It’s Hard To Know in a red-hot running of the Grade 1 contest.

The five-year-old runs for the Owners Group, who won the Challow with Stage Star three years ago, and his opposition at Newbury on December 28 could include Potters Charm, Regent’s Stroll and The New Lion.

It’s Hard To Know has been successful in novice hurdles at Lingfield and Market Rasen, with his first win franked this week when the runner-up, Metkayina, beat the Pauling-trained Diva Luna at the Surrey track.
