'The best is yet to come' - Jeremy Scott confident Golden Ace can bounce back to top form after testing start to season

Jeremy Scott believes the best is still to come this season from his stable's Cheltenham Festival winner Golden Ace, with the £155,000 Newbury Handicap Hurdle under consideration after her promising New Year's Day third.

The Somerset trainer explained the seven-year-old has not been quite right during the winter but is hopeful she can return to the level of her Mares' Novices' Hurdle victory last March, when she defeated Brighterdaysahead in fine fashion.

She was fourth behind Lucky Place in the Ascot Hurdle on her comeback and was a beaten favourite again behind the same rival in the Relkeel Hurdle at Cheltenham this week.
