Sparkling Sun Chariot showdown on the cards as Gosdens' star mares Inspiral and Nashwa could meet for the first time

John and Thady Gosden teed up a two-handed bid to land the Sun Chariot Stakes at Newmarket on Saturday week by staging a full-scale rehearsal on the Rowley Mile this morning with their live candidates Inspiral and Nashwa.

Ryan Moore dropped in to renew his acquaintance with Inspiral, who will be seeking back-to-back wins in the Group 1 after her triumph under Frankie Dettori a year ago.

The five-year-old was watched by three representatives from her owners Cheveley Park Stud as she came clear out of the Dip to master a decent handicapper over the full race distance of a mile.
