Sir Mark Prescott could follow Alpinista route with German Group 2 winner Tiffany
Tiffany could attempt to emulate her famous former stablemate Alpinista by landing this month's Group 1 Preis von Europa at Cologne for Sir Mark Prescott.
The four-year-old ended last season with a Listed success at Hanover before winning by four and a quarter lengths on her reappearance at Baden-Baden in May.
She then won the Group 3 Hoppings Fillies' Stakes on the all-weather at Newcastle before chasing home Queen Of The Pride in the Lancashire Oaks under Luke Morris.
Instead of stepping up in class for the Yorkshire Oaks, Tiffany returned to Baden-Baden at the end of last month and landed the Group 2 Baden Racing Stuten-Preis.
She could bid for her top-level breakthrough in the Preis von Europa on September 22, one of three German Group 1s won by Alpinista before her victory in the 2022 Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe.
However, the daughter of Farhh, who runs in the colours of the Elite Racing Club, also has the option of next month's Qipco British Champions Fillies & Mares Stakes.
"Tiffany will run in either the German Group 1 on September 22 or we'll wait and aim for the Fillies & Mares on Champions Day," said Prescott. "We need to win a Group 1 and we'll go for whichever I think is most likely to be within her compass."
There are a number of British and Irish contenders among the entries for the Preis von Europa, including Al Riffa, who is being aimed at the Arc, and Dubai Honour, as well as Godolphin's King Of Conquest, Rebel's Romance and Ancient Wisdom.
October could be an exciting month for Prescott, who has the prospect of Tiffany lining up at Ascot on October 19 and Pledgeofallegiance being among the leading contenders for the Club Godolphin Cesarewitch Handicap at Newmarket a week earlier.
Prescott confirmed the four-year-old remained on course for the race following his 20-1 victory in the Ascot Stakes in June. He is 8-1 generally to land another big handicap alongside the Willie Mullins-trained Hipop De Loire.
