Nigel Twiston-Davies 'disappointed' after Grand National hope Beauport receives significant rise in the weights
Nigel Twiston-Davies has been left "disappointed" by the handicapper's reaction to Beauport's wide-margin victory in Saturday's Berkshire National at Ascot.
Last season's Midlands Grand National winner, who was pulled up in the Classic Chase and Scottish Grand National last term, scored by 31 lengths under amateur rider Toby McCain-Mitchell on his reappearance, leading to a sharp rise up the ratings.
The handicapper reacted by increasing Beauport's handicap mark over fences by 12lb to 156, which Twiston-Davies feels overestimates what he achieved at Ascot.
