Lucinda Russell excited for jumps season as plans crystallise for leading lights - and trainer flags two exciting prospects
Dual Grand National-winning trainer Lucinda Russell has spoken of the need to maintain momentum at her Kinross yard as the core jumps season arrives.
Russell's stable strength took a hit when 2023 Grand National hero and dual Ultima Chase winner Corach Rambler was retired in May after a poor effort in the Punchestown Gold Cup. He had finished third in the Cheltenham Gold Cup just two months earlier.
However, the trainer wants to "drive on" this campaign and hopes the considered approach she and partner Peter Scudamore have adopted at the sales can pay dividends this season and into the future.
