Improving Kalpana on track for Champions Day - with Bluestocking still a possibility to join her at Ascot next month
Juddmonte's ranks are stacked with quality this autumn and Kalpana could yet be the best of them as she prepares to make a Group 1 breakthrough on Qipco British Champions Day at Ascot, where she could yet be joined by Bluestocking.
Kalpana went to the head of the betting at 4-1 for the British Champions Fillies & Mares Stakes on October 19 after running away with the September Stakes this month, a race the superpower owners landed twice with champion mare Enable.
However, her path to glory could be complicated by the same owner's superstar filly Bluestocking, with Juddmonte racing manager Barry Mahon stating if the ground did not get soft enough for them to supplement Sunday's Prix Vermeille winner for the Qatar Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe then she too would likely line up at Ascot.
