Ladbrokes King George VI Chase runner-up Il Est Francais could be seen more regularly in Britain after his career-best effort at Kempton on Boxing Day.
Il Est Francais posted his highest Racing Post Rating of 173 when beaten a length and three-quarters by Banbridge in the Grade 1 event.
James Reveley’s mount ran a big race from the front on his first start in Britain since an impressive 11-length success in the Kauto Star Novices’ Chase at the same meeting the previous year.
