'I think he's one of our best' - Powerful Glory following Ribchester's hoofprints in Mill Reef
Connections of Powerful Glory, who looked a juvenile of considerable potential when running out a five-and-a-half-length winner on debut at Pontefract last month, are keen to let him do the talking in Saturday's Dubai Duty Free Mill Reef Stakes.
Trained by Richard Fahey for owner Sheikh Rashid Dalmook Al Maktoum, Powerful Glory heads the market for Newbury's Group 2 contest and will be looking to give Fahey his first win in the race since Ribchester successfully used the same sprint in 2015 as a stepping stone to stardom.
The son of Cotai Glory was bought for £190,000 at the breeze-up sales in April and lived up to expectations by justifying 10-11 favouritism in a maiden for unraced two-year-olds on his first start.
