Leicester to hold Monday morning inspection for Wednesday fixture
Leicester's meeting on Wednesday is in doubt with the track waterlogged in places. Officials will inspect the course at 7.45am on Monday.
Clerk of the course Jimmy Stevenson said: "We raced on Thursday and it rained afterwards and has done so pretty much ever since. It's got into the ground and we've got constant rain, we're struggling at the minute. It needs to improve from where we are."
Meanwhile, Huntingdon passed a morning inspection for Sunday’s Trustatrader Peterborough Chase card.
Course officials assessed conditions due to the threat of high winds from Storm Darragh but gave the meeting the go-ahead.
Wind speeds of up to 90mph were recorded across Britain on Saturday, leading to the fixtures at Aintree, Chepstow and Wolverhampton being called off.
Clerk of the course Andrew Morris said: "We had strong winds overnight, but there's no damage to the track, building or facilities so we're happy to go ahead."
