'Francis is really thrilled with her' - Aga Khan team pitch easy maiden winner into red-hot Cheveley Park
The Aga Khan and Francis Graffard will look to continue a series of successful raids on major British targets this season after supplementing impressive Chantilly winner Rayevka for Saturday's Group 1 Juddmonte Cheveley Park Stakes.
The homebred daughter of Blue Point broke her maiden by five lengths at the beginning of last week and a combination of some impressive homework and a dearth of fillies-only opportunities at six furlongs closer to home has encouraged connections to pitch Rayevka in against the likes of Phoenix Stakes winner Babouche and recent Moyglare scorer Lake Victoria.
Racing manager Nemone Routh said: "We didn't think she would be beaten on her debut at Deauville but a combination of morning rain and a bit of inexperience cost her. She worked well coming into her race at Chantilly and she showed a great attitude that day; she was very relaxed both before and after the race.
