Fergal O'Brien bullish as he bids for biggest Cheltenham win with 'the best-handicapped horse in Britain and Ireland'
Fergal O'Brien revealed Sunday's Unibet Greatwood Hurdle has pretty much been the plan for Dysart Enos ever since the morning-of-race setback which ruled her out of the Cheltenham Festival, with the local trainer keen to "exploit" a favourable mark and secure his biggest success at the track.
O'Brien is approaching 50 winners at the course but victory in Sunday's £100,000 prize at the November meeting would be the highlight for a yard which has rapidly become one of the region's most powerful.
Dysart Enos immediately became the stable flagbearer when producing a sensational nine-length romp in the Grade 2 mares' bumper at Aintree but, following a flawless start to her hurdling career, was robbed of a shot at Cheltenham Festival glory when ruled out of the Mares' Novices' Hurdle, for which she was strongly fancied. Golden Ace, a rival she beat comfortably at Aintree, went on to win the race in March.
