Entries are revealed for the big weekend races in Britain - including the Classic Chase and Silviniaco Conti Chase
London National winner Mr Vango heads 16 entries for the Classic Handicap Chase (3.00) at Warwick on Saturday.
The Sara Bradstock-trained nine-year-old landed the 3m4½f event at Sandown on his return under Nico de Boinville last month.
Mr Vango is lightly raced for his age and remains unexposed in long-distance staying chases.
His opposition could include last year’s winner My Silver Lining, Apple Away, the four-timer-seeking Lady Balko and Galway Plate runner-up Duffle Coat. The latter is trained by Gordon Elliott, who has also entered the novice Shannon Royale, while Liz Doyle could be represented with Salmanino.
Esher Novices’ Chase winner Handstands is one of nine entries in the Trustatrader Hampton Court Novices’ Chase (2.25) on the undercard.
The Ben Pauling-trained six-year-old is a general 40-1 chance for the Brown Advisory and could clash again with Sandown second Resplendent Grey.
Grey Dawning won the Grade 2 last year and his stablemate Cherie D’Am, a Listed mares’ novice chase scorer at the track last month, is entered along with Ascot winner Mark Of Gold and Hillcrest.
34 in contention for Lanzarote but low turnout for Silviniaco Conti at Kempton
There will be a low turnout in the Coral Silviniaco Conti Chase (2.42) at Kempton, with dual Grade 1 winner Pic D’Orhy heading a potential field of six. He finished second to subsequent King George VI Chase hero Banbridge in the race last year and was successful in 2023.
His stablemate Hitman, the Dan Skelton-trained Heltenham and Unexpected Party, the progressive Martator and Annsam complete the entries.
Minella Missile was unbeaten in two starts as a novice hurdler and is an intriguing entry in the Coral Lanzarote Handicap Hurdle (3.18) at Kempton.
The Evan Williams-trained seven-year-old has not been in action since beating subsequent Challow winner Captain Teague in a Grade 2 novice hurdle at Cheltenham in November 2023. He is among 34 entries for the £100,000 handicap hurdle.
You Wear It Well is one of 11 possible runners in the William Hill Towton Novices’ Chase (1.27) at Wetherby, in which Ben Pauling has entered Personal Ambition and Pic Roc.
