Godolphin, Coolmore and Juddmonte will go head-to-head in an exciting edition of the bet365 Fillies' Mile (3.35) at Newmarket on Friday.

Seven fillies were declared for the contest on the Rowley Mile, with Aidan O'Brien sending over Dreamy, Ballet Slippers and January. The Irish trainer won the race with Ylang Ylang last year and is tied with Henry Cecil and John Gosden for the most wins in the race on six.

Dreamy, an ante-post fancy for next year's Oaks, was last seen winning a Group 3 at the Curragh in August, while Ballet Slippers will be returning to Britain after breaking her maiden at Ascot last time.

January will renew her rivalry from the May Hill Stakes with Godolphin's Desert Flower, who will be bidding to take her unbeaten record to four after two successes at Newmarket and that Group 2 strike at the St Leger meeting.

Sunday's Arc-winning connections of Juddmonte, Ralph Beckett and Rossa Ryan will be represented by exciting prospect Tabiti, who was last seen landing the Dick Poole Stakes at Salisbury in September.

Another powerful axis, that of Sir Michael Stoute and Cheveley Park Stud, will combine with Anna Swan, while the maiden California Dreamer completes the field.

Teeshan not declared for Persian War

The jumps season is beginning to hot up, with Chepstow's Grade 2 Unibet Persian War Novices' Hurdle (3.15) attracting a field of seven.

Teeshan and Brechin Castle were notable absentees from the declarations, with Harry Cobden now booked to ride the John McConnell-trained Intense Approach. The five-year-old has won his last two starts at Downpatrick and Kelso under Alex Harvey.

Dan and Harry Skelton will team up with the twice-raced Juventus De Brion, while another established jumping family will take them on as Peter and Michael Bowen run the mare Flying Fortune, who is seeking a four-timer. She will be ridden by James Bowen.

Fergal O'Brien won the race two years ago with Accidental Legend and will bid to do so again with the dual winner Ryan's Rocket. Vincenzo, Handlethekettle and Bullets Hill also remain in contention.
