Back us: Thoroughbred Group calls on industry to support new plan for prize-money deals with tracks
The Thoroughbred Group has called on British racing to support proposals for new commercial partnerships between participants and racecourses.
Chairman Julian Richmond-Watson said the proposed agreements, details of which the group has provided to the BHA and Racecourse Association (RCA) this week and revealed to the Racing Post, are needed to ensure revenues are shared fairly across the sport's stakeholders.
If implemented, the far-reaching plans would mean those courses which do not sign commercial partnerships would face limitations around areas of fixture and funding policy as well as access to participants.
