Hereford has called off Tuesday's meeting due to a waterlogged track, while Clonmel has cancelled its Thursday card as the wet and snowy conditions continue to disrupt the racing calendar.

Catterick will inspect for Thursday's North Yorkshire Grand National fixture at 7.45am on Tuesday due to snow and frost.

There is a blank day of jumping on Tuesday as Leicester called off its card 48 hours in advance, with Hereford following suit at a midday inspection on Monday.

Hereford has been hit by flooding in parts following 40mm of snow melt and rain in the last two days.

Raceday clerk of the course Fraser Garrity said: "Unfortunately we've had to abandon. There are several areas of significant flooding, with one area in particular where it is at least eight inches deep of water across the entire track, covering half a furlong plus. Sadly the elements have beaten us."

Taunton is the only jumps fixture on Wednesday and the ground is described as soft with temperatures of 0-1C forecast.

Clonmel made an early decision to call off racing on Thursday, with the track covered in snow and conditions forecast to drop to -7C.

Clerk of the course Lorcan Wyer said: "Following adverse weather over the weekend, unfortunately the track at Clonmel is unfit for racing at present due to a covering of snow.

"The current weather forecast is for temperatures to remain very low and dropping as low as -7C in the Clonmel area this week. Due to the current conditions and the forecast for the coming days, the fixture scheduled for Thursday has been cancelled.

"The team at Clonmel are working with Horse Racing Ireland regarding a new date."

Ludlow's Monday card fell to the weather, but there was better news at Ayr with racing going ahead.

Ludlow's meeting was called off due to waterlogging in one area, with the track posting on X: "Unfortunately, due to waterlogging and no improvement in the forecast we are very sorry to have to abandon today’s fixture. We are sorry for the inconvenience and we hope to welcome you back to Ludlow for our next fixture on Thursday 16th Jan."
