Ante-post favourite remains in contention after confirmation stage for Saturday's Grand Sefton over the National fences
Ante-post favourite and last year's runner-up Percussion remains in contention for Saturday's BoyleSports Grand Sefton Handicap Chase (2.40) following Monday's confirmation stage.
The first race of the season over the National course could feature a maximum of 17 runners after the field was whittled down.
Arizona Cardinal won the Topham in April for Stuart Edmunds and could take to the famous course again, while Latenightpass, the winner of the Foxhunters' in 2022, is another who could bring track expertise to the mix at Aintree.
Frero Banbou and Sure Touch, who is on a five-timer for Olly Murphy, are other names to note in the confirmations list.
At Wincanton, Welsh Champion Hurdle winner Lump Sum could bid to take another climb up the ladder after featuring among seven entries for the BetMGM Elite Hurdle (2.55).
The Grade 2 contest was won by Rubaud last season and last month's Kempton winner is in contention for his defence, while the Henry de Bromhead-trained Aspire Tower, Brentford Hope and Nemean Lion are also among the possible line-up.
The Boodles Rising Stars Novices' Chase (2.23) is the other Grade 2 on Wincanton's highest-profile card and has attracted eight entries, including Handstands, Insurrection, Peaky Boy and Resplendent Grey.
Blackjack Magic claimed the £80,000 Badger Beer Handicap Chase (3.30) last term and he featured among 16 entries. Paul Nicholls has won the race 11 times and Mofasa is his only candidate this season.
The final day of the Flat turf season takes place at Doncaster, with the concluding November Handicap attracting 32 entries.
