Aidan O'Brien is responsible for almost a third of the 19 entries for Saturday's Group 1 Futurity Trophy (2.40) at Doncaster as the master trainer seeks a record-extending 12th success in the race.

O'Brien, who made it number 11 with Auguste Rodin in 2022, holds six entries at the five-day confirmation stage.

Delacroix, who landed the Autumn Stakes at Newmarket this month, could feature alongside stablemates Isambard Brunel, Mississippi River, Monumental, Serengeti and Trinity College.

O'Brien said: "The plan is to run Delacroix in the Futurity Trophy. We were delighted with him at Newmarket and we think he's come forward. He is progressing nicely with each start and we're very happy with him so the plan is to go to Doncaster."

The exciting Wimbledon Hawkeye – trained by James Owen – remains on course for the Group 1 on Saturday, with his trainer recently praising his "fantastic attitude".

The John and Thady Gosden-trained Nebras was added to the entries after being supplemented for £17,500. Owned by Imad Alsagar, the son of Dubawi made a winning debut at Newmarket earlier this month.

Hotazhell is also a possible runner for Jessica Harrington. The Too Darn Hot colt has won three of his five starts, including most recently scoring in the Group 2 Beresford Stakes at the Curragh.

Harrington said: "The plan is for Hotazhell to go to the Futurity. He's been in good form since the Beresford and will be doing a breeze on Tuesday and he's all set. We're happy with him. The ground is soft at the moment so it probably won't be any better than that but he is versatile."
