A troubled path marked by disastrous Best case
The background to the Quinlan review begins in June 2015, when Adam Brickell, the then director of integrity, legal and risk for the BHA, launched a review of the organisation's integrity processes, the first such major review since 2008.
The outcome recommended a "review [of] the structure, composition and processes of the disciplinary panel, licensing committee and appeal board as a matter of urgency" to create "greater confidence among the sport's participants".
Last month, Brickell announced he was quitting the BHA in a press release that suggested his own review had in effect eliminated the need for his job.
