Dublin Racing Festival preview
Powerhouse Irish trainer Willie Mullins was the dominant force at last year's Dublin Racing Festival, winning all eight of the Grade 1 contests across the weekend, with a few going on to score at the Cheltenham Festival a month later.
One of those was Galopin Des Champs, who took the Irish Gold Cup en route to winning the Cheltenham equivalent for the second successive year. He's back bidding for a hat-trick.
Last year's Champion Hurdle winner State Man has dominated the last two runnings of the Irish Champion Hurdle and is also seeking a third victory, but he's been beaten twice and is likely to face stiff competition from stablemate Lossiemouth, who chased home the mighty Constitution Hill last time.
Mullins has won every running of the Grade 1 Dublin Chase and looks to Gaelic Warrior, a most impressive winner of last year's Arkle at the Cheltenham Festival, to continue that unbeaten streak.
Britain's and Ireland's champion trainer also seeks a fifth success in a row and an eighth in 11 years in the Irish Arkle, which he has won with subsequent Cheltenham Festival winner Un De Sceaux, Douvan, Energumene and El Fabiolo.
