'At 12-1 I'd be happy to back him' | Festive reflections | Talking points | Tips
Maddy Playle is joined by Graeme Rodway, Brendan Duke and Paddy Power's Patrick Kennelly as they look back at all of the biggest racing action from the weekend.
The panel review Al Boum Photo’s seasonal reappearance and take a look at some of the other Gold Cup challengers who were seen over the festive period. The Savills Chase provided the most clues but our panel don’t think the winner will go on to success at Cheltenham and Paddy thinks one horse could go under the radar in the Stayers' Hurdle.
The Cheltenham theme continues with the panel salivating at the thought of Monkfish vs Envoi Allen in the 2022 Gold Cup and Graeme picking out two potential big price runners in the Champion Hurdle who can’t be ignored.
The team end on a look at Saturday’s runners and riders in the rescheduled Welsh Grand National at Chepstow. Brendan and Paul are in agreement with a certain horse who has proven form in marathon contests.
