Asterion Forlonge adds spice to King George mix as Mullins gives go-ahead

Willie Mullins will send his dashing grey Asterion Forlonge to Kempton on a mission to become the stable's second King George winner 20 years after Florida Pearl brought the house down in the festive showpiece.
Vautour came closest to delivering a second King George victory for Mullins in 2015 but was narrowly denied by the late rattle of Cue Card and went down by a head in a classic renewal.
Asterion Forlonge was travelling all over the eventual winner Allaho when unseating Bryan Cooper at the third-last in the John Durkan on his comeback run at Punchestown and Mullins is hoping the frustratingly talented chaser can make amends on December 26.
