Ante-post bets on re-entered Welsh National hopes will stand with sponsor Coral
Welsh Grand National sponsor Coral have confirmed that ante-post bets on horses who have been re-entered for the rescheduled race at Chepstow on Saturday will still stand.
The marathon contest was meant to be staged over the festive period on December 27, but the fixture was cancelled due to waterlogged ground and the race's entries reverted back to the publication of the weights stage for its rescheduled slot.
Coral spokesperson David Stevens said that, in line with their rules, all ante-post bets with the bookmaker on those re-entered will not be voided.
He said: "If that horse has been re-entered, then the bet would absolutely still stand. Our rules state that the only ante-post bets that would not stand would be if the race had moved track. For example, if it had been run at Newbury and not Chepstow, then all the bets would have been voided."

The Nigel Hawke-trained Alminar had featured among the original declarations for the 3m6½f contest over the first period but has not been re-entered.
A Paddy Power spokesperson told the Racing Post that ante-post bets on Alminar will be refunded and Stevens confirmed that Coral will also be doing the same.
He added: "We will refund any ante-post bets on any horse that was not left in today. If you had an ante-post bet originally when the race was due to be staged on December 27 and it has not been entered this time around, you will get your money back."
