Aidan O'Brien: Battleground's much more powerful now and a mile will suit
Aidan O'Brien says Battleground has filled out into a "big, powerful colt" over the winter, and believes a mile will be the ideal trip for the Guineas favourite to show his pace.
The son of War Front shot to the summit of the Qipco 2,000 Guineas market after finishing second in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf in November, and bet365 are currently biggest in the market at 9-2.
That cracking Keeneland effort came on the back of a decisive success in the Vintage Stakes at Goodwood, while he was also an impressive winner of the Chesham at Royal Ascot.
