Williams the trainer to follow at Ascot on Saturday

Venetia Williams has a great record with her handicap chasers in November and she has landed Ascot’s 2m1f Byrne Group Handicap Chase three times in the past ten years with runners priced at 20-1, 16-1 and 12-1.

In all Williams has had 84 winners from 436 runners in such races (19.3%) for a profit of £151.24 to a £1 level stake and CALIPTO might prove the pick of her two entries in Saturday’s renewal of the Byrne Group.

Williams also has two runners in the 3m Grade 3 handicap chase and, with the ground likely to be too quick for mudlark Yala Enki, the vote goes to VIC DE TOUZAINE.
