'The two who ran in France would look obvious types for the race'

The plan at the moment is to run in the King George and then we'll see after that whether he heads to the St Leger or goes another route such as the Arc. He's come out of his run at the Curragh very well where everything was perfect but for the result, and the form was really franked in France by Hurricane Lane. I've always thought he could be a St Leger horse and I think he certainly stays, but it could be that he's better at a mile and a half. We'll make a decision after next Saturday.

Aidan O'Brien, trainer of Wordsworth and The Mediterranean
The two horses who ran in the Grand Prix de Paris [Wordsworth and The Mediterranean] would look obvious types for the St Leger. The Mediterranean looks like a horse who is going to stay well although he's very comfortable over a mile and a half. Wordsworth is a brother to Kew Gardens, who won the St Leger, and he is the same to The Mediterranean in that he looks like he will stay very well. There are others there, but we will make our minds up closer to the time.

William Haggas, trainer of Alenquer
He'll get an entry to the St Leger, but I'm not convinced he needs to be running in a race like that at the moment. I've got to give his plans some thought and then discuss it with the horse's owner and there is no rush to make a decision. The St Leger is a mile six and a half and I'm not sure he'd be an absolute certain stayer at that trip. He was running on in the Grand Prix de Paris because he was passing horses that had run out of puff. It wasn't that he was a stayer, he just wasn't in the right position from the start. If he'd been following Hurricane Lane, it might have been different. He's won a Group 3 at a mile and a quarter so I don't think he's a dead-set stayer, he's quicker than that.
