The Punt Daily: Tom Collins' free horse racing tips on Saturday afternoon

BANKER

(4.40 Cheltenham)

Lightly raced six-year-old who won a novice hurdle at this meeting last year before scoring in Grade 2 company at this track 21 days later. Generally found life tough after that but contested some top-quality races, including the Ballymore at the Cheltenham Festival, and might be seen at his best when relatively fresh. He was smart at his fences on chase debut at Chepstow earlier this month and is fancied to follow up in this uncompetitive heat.

EYECATCHER

(3.50 Doncaster)

The experienced Flaming Rib is the colt to beat as he progresses from handicaps into Listed company, but he's short enough at 13-8 and it could be worth opposing him with the promising Deodar. The son of Bated Breath beat subsequent Rockingham runner-up Witch Hunter on debut at Newbury, handles cut in the ground and represents Ralph Beckett, who has a 26 per cent strike-rate (8-31) with his two-year-olds at Doncaster in the last five years.

GOOD THING

(2.20 Cheltenham)

Kerry Lee has begun the jumps season in blistering form (last four runners have won) and Storm Control is her sole representative on a stellar Cheltenham card. This reliable stayer won back-to-back handicap chases at this track last winter, including a Grade 3 event in December, and showed up well in the Kim Muir on his sole other start here. He's back down to his winning mark of 137 and has won when fresh before.
