The Punt Daily: Tom Collins' free horse racing tips on Saturday afternoon

EYECATCHER

(2.25 Cheltenham)

Fergal O'Brien does well at this track and Ask A Honey Bee could be his best chance of the day in this 3m novice hurdle. A four-time winner from seven starts, this six-year-old is firmly on the upgrade and although he has been beaten at short odds the last twice, he has shaped as if he was desperate for a step up in trip. Ask A Honey Bee hit his best stride in the final furlong last time out and should relish the jump up to 3m with a stiff finish up the hill. He doesn't have too much to find on ratings and beat likely favourite Ashtown Lad off level weights in October.

DARK HORSE

Lugg River (3.07 Hereford)

Another six-year-old who has had just seven starts, Lugg River doesn't boast the same kind of promise as Ask A Honey Bee but she is extremely interesting off a lowly mark of 108 in this staying handicap hurdle. The Tom Symonds-trained runner wasn't beaten far behind smart mares Misty Whisky and White Hart Lady in a couple of above-average bumpers and caught the eye on hurdling debut last January when fourth. She didn't jump or travel well on her penultimate outing, while she probably needed the run last time. First-time cheekpieces and the step up in trip should enable her to show her true colours.
