The Punt Daily: Tom Collins' free horse racing tips on day three of Cheltenham

GOOD THING

(1.55 Cheltenham)

I have been backing this six-year-old for the Pertemps Final since October and hopefully he can reward the faith. A smart novice hurdler last year, The Bosses Oscar was well-found in the market for the Martin Pipe on handicap debut but was shuffled back on the homebend and hampered badly at the last. He was the horse to take out of that race with stiffer stamina tests in mind. It is evident that he has been campaigned with this race in mind and exits a Leopardstown qualifier that has produced four of the last five winners of this race. Jordan Gainford's 7lb claim is a huge help – I can't see him out of the frame.

EACH-WAY PLAY

(3.05 Cheltenham)

Attractive each-way terms and the fact that Paisley Park represents little value at 2-1 should enable you to cash in with a bigger-priced runner in a competitive edition of the Stayers' Hurdle. Flooring Porter is an intriguing runner, but the value lies with Beacon Edge, who beat Fury Road in the Boyne Hurdle despite that runner getting everything his own way. The runner-up gets a 2lb swing in the weights but there's no reason for the large disparity in price between the pair.
