The Punt Daily: Tom Collins' free horse racing tips at Aintree on Thursday
EYECATCHER
Colin Tizzard's horses haven't run great all year, but they often come alive at this meeting and I'm hoping Eldorado Allen can kickstart the resurgence by landing the opening Grade 1 Manifesto Novices' Chase. Second behind Shishkin at Doncaster and in the Arkle last month, he has been running consistently well this term and has avoided his extremely talented foe this time around. He has to prove his stamina, but he hit the line powerfully the last twice and should relish the quicker ground.
GOOD THING
Destrier is feared, but we saw the Irish dominate at the Cheltenham Festival and there's no reason to believe that Moon Over Germany won't play a huge part in this Grade 3 chase with the brilliant 7lb conditional Jordan Gainford in the saddle. The Henry de Bromhead-trained ten-year-old won this race off a 12lb lower mark in 2019, but he looks reasonably well treated when you factor in Gainford's claim and he certainly wasn't disgraced after a bad early mistake at Navan on his return.
