There is only 1lb between the pair on official figures and San Donato has run his two best races on RPRs following long breaks. The son of Lope De Vega was third to Persian King in the French 2,000 Guineas on his 2019 comeback and second to Sussex Stakes hero Mohaather in the Summer Mile in 2020. Freshness could be the key to this five-year-old, who will be fine over 1m1f after putting any major stamina doubts to bed with a good third at Ayr to Addeybb and Lord Glitters. Global Giant's best form has come over a bit further too.
