Brother to 2016 Derby second US Army Ranger who makes his handicap debut on the Flat off a potentially lenient mark of 67. It is tough for four-year-olds giving a stone to well-bred talented three-year-olds in maidens at this time of year and Coventry shouldn't be too harshly judged on his ninth over 1m2f at Cork last time. Prior to that he looked a fair juvenile, winning his maiden hurdle by seven lengths in March before running okay in fifth when sent off 12-1 for a Grade 2 hurdle at Fairyhouse. His best run on Racing Post Ratings over flights was on heavy so I'm reasonably confident he will get 1m5½f on the Flat in testing terrain, with the experience he gained running over 2m over jumps sure to stand him in good stead.
