Battle-hardened five-year-old who outran odds of 28-1 to finish third behind the top-class My Drogo in the Grade 1 Mersey Novices' Hurdle at Aintree when last seen. Trainer Nigel Twiston-Davies tends to enjoy great success at this meeting and Guard Your Dreams should have more than enough in his arsenal to defy top weight in this 0-140 contest. I'd expect him to be rated much higher come the end of the season and this looks an excellent piece of placing, with much more to come on just his third run over two and a half miles.
