BANKER
Asbaagh (4.45 Wolverhampton)
This Siyouni filly couldn't have made a more eyecatching and encouraging debut at Lingfield in March. John Gosden's 450,000gns purchase broke slowly and raced out the back of the pack but made a big move in the homestraight to be beaten just over a length despite not being asked for maximum effort. She is expected to improve plenty for that run and could be an exciting prospect looking forward.
EYECATCHER
Kafee (3.10 Wolverhampton)
When an Andrew Balding-trained juvenile is fancied in the market for a competitive Newbury novice contest you have to take note. That was the case for Kafee, who was sent off at just 9-1 for a 20-runner contest on heavy ground at October. He finished 11th day and potentially got bogged down in the ground, but much better is expected with a winter behind him. David Probert has been riding well since the resumption of racing and stall seven isn't bad.
