The Punt Acca: Liam Headd's three horse racing tips at Ayr and Taunton on Monday

Paddy The Horse(2.10 Ayr)

George Bewley saddles his first runner of the new year and Paddy The Horse can get him back on the winning trail. The eight-year-old is 2-2 this season and chasing a hat-trick on his debut over fences, his previous two wins coming over hurdles. His trainer is enjoying a fine spell and is on course to record his most winners in a campaign.

Lady Adare(3.00 Taunton)

Harry Fry is operating at a 23 per cent strike rate this season and Lady Adare has a big chance to extend her unbeaten record. The seven-year-old mare blew the field apart over course and distance last February, and the long layoff shouldn't be an issue as she goes well when fresh. Lorcan Murtagh is a good jockey booking and she should be too strong for her rivals.

Tintern Abbey (3.35 Taunton)

Tintern Abbey has been progressing over hurdles and ran well for much of her last run in a 1m7f contest at Wincanton in November until running out of steam late on. She finished fourth of ten that day but has been a consistent performer for the Alastair Ralph yard and the soft conditions expected here should work to her advantage. She should be a contender.
