Signposts: Astrale can Roc for Perrett and Dobbs on Bath mission
Merdon Castle’s (Yarmouth 5.25) recent form leaves a lot to be desired but he is now 15lb below his previous winning mark. His last win came just under a year ago and he has changed trainers since then, moving to Ivan Furtado’s yard in March. He’s had a couple of sighters for Furtado and he may well step up on what he’s shown recently.
Roc Astrale (Bath 6.55) takes to the track looking to enhance the impressive 50 per cent strike-rate of trainer Amanda Perrett and jockey Pat Dobbs when they team up at the West Country venue. He made a fair reappearance when fourth at Chelmsford 13 days ago and will be looking to build on that today.
