At Ascot on Saturday all the valuable handicaps went to horses that had already had a run and at this stage of the season, match practice is clearly beneficial.

In Exeter's bwin Haldon Gold Cup (2.05) the two best horses at the top of the weights, Diego Du Charmil and God's Own, are both making their seasonal reappearances and I think they will have their work cut out to beat the other three who are race fit.
