The 2m handicap hurdle (2.25) looks a good opportunity for dual Imperial Cup winner Go Dante to maintain his unbeaten record over course and distance for Sean Bowen.
I advised a bet on him at Bangor on his reappearance, but Go Dante was never put into that race. Bowen had his mount held up out the back and wide, leaving him little chance when things got serious. The selection eventually trailed in tailed off and didn’t stay the 2m3½f.
He’s far better than that and should improve significantly for that pipe-opener back at his favourite track over 2m. He is also well treated off only 3lb higher than for his last win here.
