Placepot: Paul Kealy has three bankers for day two of the Cheltenham Festival

The opening two heats of the Cheltenham Placepot on day two are among the most straightforward, but it could be dangerous to have a banker in the Ballymore (1.20), given there are at least three warm contenders for two places.

The one I like least is Gaillard Du Mesnil, so I'll go with Bravemansgame and Bob Olinger, and then bank on Monkfish in the Brown Advisory (1.55), Chacun Pour Soi in the Champion Chase (3.05) and Easysland in the Cross Country (3.40).

I can't see much of a case for getting any of those three out of the frame, and if they are I'll be one of the many who kisses goodbye to any Placepot aspirations.

It's a case of keeping the perm manageable for the rest of the card on a day when the returns are not likely to be earth-shattering - at least with the perm I'm coming up with!

The Coral Cup (2.30), clearly needs a bit of coverage and Nicky Henderson is always the first port of call as he has won four of the last 11 runnings.

Craigneiche looks a likely type for Henderson and I'll also throw in Dysart Diamond for Willie Mullins and topweight Thomas Darby, who could be set to run a big race in first-time cheekpieces.

The Grand Annual (4.15) is another fiercely competitive handicap, but the consistent Entoucas should be thereabouts, while On The Slopes is an outsider worth considering and it's easy to see last year's winner Chosen Mate going well.
